Amol Sarva is a founding partner of LifeX Ventures, bringing a background in cognitive science and company building to investing at the intersection of AI and health.

He studied at Columbia University and earned his PhD at Stanford, where his research examined modularity in cognitive science. Questions about how intelligence works have remained a thread through his work as an entrepreneur, investor, and teacher.

Amol was part of the founding team of Virgin Mobile USA, which went public in 2007, and founded Peek, an early mobile device company. Those ventures placed him in the development of consumer technology as mobile connectivity became part of everyday life.

His later work includes Halo Neuroscience, Knotable, and Knotel, spanning neurotechnology, collaboration software, and flexible workspace. Across these businesses, he has worked through product development, fundraising, organizational growth, and major corporate transitions.

Alongside investing, Amol teaches at Columbia and has helped build communities of entrepreneurs, including New York Founders Roundtable. At LifeX, he brings technical curiosity and operating experience to working with founders on consequential decisions.

Inaki Berenguer is a founding partner of LifeX Ventures, an engineer and entrepreneur whose work spans consumer technology, enterprise software, and applied AI. He brings experience building companies and investing in ambitious founders.
He has been a three-time CEO and entrepreneur in New York City. He cofounded Pixable, acquired by SingTel in 2012 for $30M, Contactive, acquired by Fuze, and CoverWallet, which raised $60M and was acquired by Aon in 2020.
At CoverWallet, he helped build a technology company that grew to more than 500 employees and close to $1B in premium revenue. His operating experience includes product development, strategy, fundraising, hiring, and scaling organizations through major transitions.
Inaki has worked at McKinsey and Microsoft Corporate Strategy. He cofounded Agentero and iPronics, where he serves as President, cofounder, and board member. He is also a Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute and a 14x marathon finisher.
Inaki earned Master and PhD degrees in Engineering from the University of Cambridge and an MBA from MIT. He was a two-year Fulbright Scholar at Columbia University and a postdoc at the Cambridge-MIT Institute. At LifeX, he works with founders at the intersection of science, software, and health.

Jon Soberg is a Partner at LifeX Ventures, Fund II. An engineer, entrepreneur, and early-stage investor, he brings more than 15 years of venture capital experience and a track record of backing founders across five continents.

Jon earned a BS in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College and a master's degree in engineering from Northwestern University. He later received his MBA in Entrepreneurial Management and Marketing from The Wharton School, where he was a Palmer Scholar, and he holds the CFA charter. He has since returned to Wharton as a lecturer and Senior Fellow.

Before investing, Jon built companies himself. He was head of engineering at Adforce, which went public, and later held senior operating and finance roles at GMAC Mortgage, Ditech, HSBC, Capital Group, and Great-West Life. That mix of engineering, consumer finance, and large-scale operations shapes how he evaluates products and the businesses around them.

Jon began his venture career as a Partner at Blumberg Capital, investing in enterprise software and fintech, and went on to lead MS&AD Ventures as CEO and Managing Partner, the Silicon Valley venture arm of one of the world's largest insurance groups. He has made more than 120 investments, taken dozens of board and observer seats, and has been ranked among Business Insider's top seed investors worldwide.

At LifeX, Jon brings a builder's perspective and deep experience in insurance, risk, and financial infrastructure — areas where health care is being redesigned. Founders value his candor and his view that people, more than ideas, determine which companies endure.

Lisa Kleinsorge is a Partner at LifeX Ventures, Fund II. A go-to-market leader, advisor, and investor based in San Francisco, she has spent more than 15 years helping technology companies expand globally and build the partnerships that drive their growth.

Lisa holds a degree in International Business Management from Cardiff University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. She began her career in media and investing, as a Media Executive at RTL Group / Bertelsmann and as an Investment Manager at Axel Springer in Berlin.

She then joined Spotify as an early hire in the Bay Area, building its global strategic partnerships and business development team and the platform for native partner integrations. She went on to run international business development at Twitter and to lead the international expansion of Headspace.

More recently, Lisa has led partnerships at Puzzle, an AI-native accounting company, and advises growth-stage startups on partnerships and ecosystem strategy. An angel investor since 2018, she has backed around 30 companies.

At LifeX, Lisa helps founders with the commercial questions that follow a strong product: which partners matter, how to enter new markets, and how to build distribution that lasts.

Fabian Siegel is a Partner at LifeX Ventures, Fund II. A six-time founder and operator, he has spent more than two decades building consumer internet and marketplace businesses in Germany, Europe, and the United States.

Fabian studied Economics and Law at the University of Bonn. He began his career in technology, serving as CTO of ClickandBuy, the online-payments company later acquired by Deutsche Telekom.

From 2010 to 2013 he was co-CEO of Delivery Hero (Lieferheld) alongside Niklas Östberg, helping build what became one of the world's largest food-delivery platforms, which went public in Frankfurt in 2017. He then served as a Venture Partner at Global Founders Capital.

In 2014 Fabian founded Marley Spoon, the meal-kit company behind Marley Spoon and Dinnerly, and led it as CEO for a decade, through expansion across three continents and a public listing on the Australian Securities Exchange, before stepping down in 2024. Along the way he has personally invested in more than 30 startups.

At LifeX, Fabian brings hard-won lessons in scaling logistics-heavy, consumer-facing businesses and in the operating decisions that come with them — experience that is directly relevant to founders building new models of care delivery and access.

Veeral is a Senior Associate at LifeX Ventures.

He has served as a Clinical Advisor and Business Development Analyst at an early-stage consumer health company, Frontrow Health, where he contributed to market research and provider partnerships. Previously, he worked at Rosecliff Venture Capital, sourcing and reviewing investments in digital health and primary care delivery.

Veeral has collaborated with the Rajpurkar Lab at Harvard Medical School on AI/ML applications in medical imaging and sensor data. He also contributed to research on value-based care in oncology at Harvard Business School's Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness with Dr. Thomas Feeley and Professor Michael Porter.

Veeral completed his Internal Medicine residency in New York. He holds an MD from New York Medical College, an MBA from Columbia Business School, and a Bachelor's degree from Harvard University (cum laude).

Andrea Martos Esteban is a Partner and Founder of Cambridge Biocapital, a strategic advisory firm rooted in Cambridge's life-sciences ecosystem. She works with academic research projects, university spinouts, and health-technology founders.

She studied at the University of Cambridge, where her research and training focused on biochemistry and life sciences. Her work connects scientific understanding with the practical questions that determine whether promising research can reach the people who need it.

At Cambridge Biocapital, Andrea helps build advisory and training programs for health-technology entrepreneurship. The firm's HEALTHPRENEURS work is part of a €1.34M EIT Health-funded project to accelerate health-technology entrepreneurship across Europe.

Andrea is also a co-founder and Managing Director of Codon65, a studio supporting life-sciences startups with brand identity and value propositions. Through Cambridge Biocapital, its newsletter, and founder-facing work, she helps make technical opportunities more legible to investors and partners.

At LifeX, Andrea brings a scientist's perspective, an understanding of the Cambridge life-sciences ecosystem, and a practical interest in the founders building the next generation of health technology.

Michael is a second year MBA student at Harvard Business School, as Co-President of the MS/MBA Life Sciences joint degree program with Harvard's Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and Harvard Medical School.

At Harvard, he is Director of Community & DEI of Nucleate, the biotech accelerator and largest global community of bio-innovators. Before Harvard, he was a Project Manager and Scientist at Roche Diagnostics, Shape Therapeutics, and Stratos Genomics. He’s interested in all things life science, particularly in the convergence of technology and healthcare/biotechnology. He is currently working on a new venture as part of HBS's Rock Accelerator at the intersection of education, data-science, and life science.

He recently completed the Nucleate accelerator program, where he founded a company focused on enzyme development and delivery. She was also the first PM and Head of Professionals at Thumbtack Inc for 5 years, which was valued at $3.2B in 2021 with investment from Sequoia, Tiger Global, Capital G, QIA, and more. Previously, she co-founded a wine e-commerce startup called FirstCrush.

Yue spent 4 years at Meta working on Instagram Feed and Profile, Messenger Web and Desktop, and SMB Advertising.

She started her career as a BA at McKinsey & Company and in Corporate Strategy at Cisco Systems. She is a seasoned career coach and aspiring writer (Her first book is called The Uncommon Executive, due January 2024).

Previously, she spent 4 years as a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company in New York and London, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in Uganda. She also spent 3 years as a technology investment banker at Morgan Stanley, working on internet (Alibaba, Perfect World, Netease) and climate (Yingli, Trina Solar) deals.

Fernando has a strong background in finance and alternative investments. Over the years he has worked as an auditor, financial controller, and compliance officer for a wide range of firms in the Spanish ecosystem.

Fernando started his career as an auditor at Deloitte and later moved into venture capital as a Financial Controller and Compliance Officer. Most recently, Fernando worked for Tresmares Capital, where he has led the direct lending and private equity operations team. He has executed over 30 debt transactions and more than 10 private equity deals, overseeing a total of eight funds with over €2 billion in assets under management (AUM).

Fernando holds a degree in Economics, a Master’s in Taxation and Fiscal Advisory from CEF, and is an Effas Certified ESG Analyst.
